Summary

• This is the communicator with icons for the people have some disabilities to the words.

• You can make some strings of icons, and they are memorized in the browser temporarily with a comment at a line.

• The icon-strings memorized can be saved on the disk. Then they can be printed.

Usage

• You click one of the icons in the upper frame, then it is stored into the middle frame.

• The lower frame has the functions as follows:
  

  BACK	Cancel the last icon.
  You can put off any icon in the middle frame, when you click it.
  CLEAR	Clear the all of icons in the middle frame, not recorded.
  NEXT	Change the topic another. The icon-string is recorded temporalily, and clear from the middle frame. If you write in the "COMMENT:" (textbox), it's also recorded together.
  The memory of icon-strings are lost when you close the window of the icon-communicator, or refresh the document (also with another file).
  SUMMARY	Display the records of the icon-strings and comments.
  If you close only the summary-window, the icon-strings are kept.

• If you want to save the icon-strings into the disk, on the summary-window, select the nAming-save in the File-menu, and save in UNICODE or HTML.
  • If you don't save in UNICODE, probably it fails (I don't know the cause).
  • If you use on your disk (off-line), I recommend you save the only HTML-text. That saves the free-space of your disk. It isn't written the picture data. But when you open the recorded file, the browser reads them from the disk and shows it correctly.
    If you use it on-line or save into removable disk as a floppy, you have to save with all data of the pictures. Therefore you select "save all data of HTML". That causes the files become big size.

• If you want to print the icon-strings, open the saved file as the above, and select the print-menu.
  • If you try to print without save, probably it failes (I don't know the cause).

• The frames are resizable. Drag the border.

• If you want to change the number of icons in the middle frame, change the number of "var max=8;" on the 26th line in the file "ICOM.HTM".
